Christmas closing Zaffarancho 30.11.2019. Rádpuszta

On November 30, 2019, at 4 pm, the annual Zaffarancho of the Budapest and Balaton Tables was organized by the Balaton Tables. Based on pre-applications, we counted on 32 participants and 30 were on site. (The complete list of logs.)

As usual, the venue was Rádpuszta, but now we received the ballroom not in the inn but in the event house. This served all the needs of the planned programs by separating the venue from the restaurant. The photos are a testament to the excellent organization.

According to the planned program, the Zaff. Started reading Octalogo and then the captain of the Balaton table greeted him. Our national captain gave a one minute silent salute after the commendable speech and then conducted Golpe de Canon to commemorate our four brothers. The greetings were closed by the captain of the Budapest table.

Next we went over to the lecture hall, where we listened to the next item on the agenda and watched a presentation by our invited guest, Captain János Schláth.The title of the presentation was "Wasted Heritage". We, the company associated with ships, shipping, and the sea, were deeply shaken by the chronicle of the documented event of the termination of Hungarian shipping. We did not become cheerful after the words of our artist, the film documents and pictures he projected: the loss and the method depleted our sea-bound company. (The material of the lecture was also published in book format, which as a gift of the Balaton table was given to all our brothers by the author as a dedicated war booty.)

Perhaps the weight of the topic of the presentation caused our schedule to be upset and had to be redesigned.

After the performance we took part in a wine tasting, under the influence of what was said. The company tasted the selection with a quiet conversation and unanimously stated the excellent quality of the wines of 2017-2019.

Then dinner started with the usual oven roasts, purple cabbage onion potato garnish, and poppy seed dessert. Even now, the portions were beyond our capacity, and everyone ate their breath. In the meantime, of course, we talked, thought about next year's programs, and had a good time.

After dinner, we distributed the "war booty", the festive gift of the Balaton table. Our National Captain commanded Golpe de Canon.

After dinner, the clerk of the Balaton Table introduced the Hungarian Brotherhood website in the lecture hall, which registered 40,000 visits a year after its launch.

After that, guests of Captain Phoenix introduced themselves. They are also boat-bound people who sympathize with the spirit of brotherhood, and now at the year-end zaff., they got to know the brothers of both tables.

Finally, after 22 hours, we said good-bye to each other, closing the Zaffaranch.

The event was a success, without any problems, to the full satisfaction of all participants. We managed to complete every item on the agenda, revive the pleasant and interesting moments of the past year, and we enjoyed the winter break.
