19.09.2022: the boats departed from the base ports. Rubi from Keszthely, Havária and Greyhound from Balatonboglár, the finish Balatonszemes. The weather was thundery, with rain in several parts and not insignificant wind. Some pressures reached the top of 6, bottom of 7 on the Beaufort scale. Rubi suffered a jib tear in one of the pressures (the bulkhead ran out of the clamp, the incoming sail was torn lengthwise). All three boats were moored as planned until 4pm, then we talked through the mysteries of stormy sailing over a few cups of strap-on reinforcement. El Toro's guest, Tamás, expressly hated being on a capsizing boat in choppy water (he is a helmsman on a hotel ship in the Rhine) and declared that this was miles beyond his comfort zone.

The evening's programme began at 5.30pm in the Seventh Heaven, where our Captain Phoenix's corsair Hilda took the participants.

The evening was spent in an excellent atmosphere. Dinner was tarragon casserole, chicken leg stew with dumplings and salad, accompanied by excellent music provided by Zsolt, the host's friend.

We agreed to leave for Révfülö the next day at 11 a.m. and return to the harbour by 11 p.m. (During the evening we consumed 1 barrel of gunpowder.)

20.09.2022: After waking up in the morning, having coffee, we postponed the 11am departure to 13pm according to the forecast. The reason: there was a forecast of heavy rain at that time. The wind was 4-5 in the morning. Captain Phoenix handed over a jib from his kit to El Toro, which we fitted to the Rubi, checked out of the harbour and set off for Révfülöp at 13h00. Of course, the wind was already lane by this time, skipping in places. So, looking for the wind, half an hour passed. Then a good thunderstorm brought the wind and the rain. At 4 p.m. all three boats were moored to the west side of the public harbour at Revffülöp, under power (the harbour power cabinets were working). Due to the low water level, climbing up to the pier from Havaria was like a gymnastics workout. By mutual decision, we chose the Tóth restaurant for dinner, which meant a 1.5 km walk. At 6 pm we occupied the restaurant with several cannon shots. We all had an excellent dinner of our own choice (the favourite was the saloon lungs). We then walked back to the harbour at 9pm (another barrel of gunpowder consumed). In the morning we found that Révfülöp was already hibernating, as there was absolutely nothing working near the harbour, and even the public toilet with money to spend was locked.

21.09.2022: In the morning we noticed that Révfülöp was already hibernating, because there was nothing working near the harbour and even the public toilet with money dispenser was locked. After breakfast and coffee, we set off at 11am for Balatongyörök, in a northerly wind of 4, with small waves. It was an excellent semi windy ride to the Badacsonytomaj tube, where the wind picked up to 6 and then the Badacsony started to rotate. For Tamás it was too much and he got out in Badacsony, although the Rubi with the small jib and the reefed mainsail in perfect balance was going super well, much to El Toro's satisfaction. It happens, we all know, that someone can't get the majestic feeling of sailing right.

The Bay of Szigliget was in fine form, we were sailing there under jib and reefing, and at 2pm we all docked on the west side of the public harbour on Balatongyörök. There was also power in the harbour where we took a short walk to explore the possibilities. Things were much better than in Révfülöp. There were clean, fully equipped public toilets, a shop, an open café, a restaurant and order everywhere, which is a credit to the local government there. By the time we got back to the harbour, our brother Vitéz had arrived with his guest Attila from Keszthely. After discussing our common experiences, we went to dinner at the Móló bistro at 18:00, where the evening was spent in a good atmosphere, accompanied by several cannon shots.

22.09.2022: Bright sunshine in the morning, and 8°C. Grizzly and his corsair decided to take the Győr-Kaposvár train at 9:37 am in Balatongyörök with six luggage, and change at Balatonszentgyörgy to Boglár, where they left the car. So the planned Balatonfenyves disembarkation was cancelled, and Captain Phoenix sailed solo as Vagabund for the rest of the trip. At 11am we set off for Szigliget on 3 north, then the winds gusted west and picked up to 4-5. The boats arrived at the harbour at the same time before 13h, Havaria was the first to dock, but in such a way that the mud in front of the guesthouse caught the 1.4m diving boat. I could only moor it with engine power. The harbour is empty, the restaurant is closed, the pier of the restaurant is full of bird droppings, the harbour masters are obviously not prepared for tour boats. The harbour has been closed to larger vessels (>1.5m) since August. We spent the sunny afternoon chatting at the communal table, taking advantage of the showers and testing apple and grape brandy. We decided to have breakfast together at the shore table the next day.

At 5pm we headed to the Bakos restaurant for dinner, 1.8 km from the harbour. But we had no other choice, because there were no other working restaurants in Szigliget. We found a very pleasant environment in the restaurant: it was family-run, with a varied menu, but not the average price. We arrived back at the port at 10 pm after an excellent dinner.

23.09.2022: We woke up to a sunny morning with 8°C. After the morning routine, we cleared the communal table and shared breakfast. Attila's venison salami, Vitéz's venison sausage, Vagabund's homemade sausage and salami provided the backbone, with homemade bread and vegetables to accompany. Pleasantly satiated, we tied up at 11am, saying goodbye to Captain Vitéz and Attila. They were off to Keszthely on urgent business. We docked at Badacsony in a pleasant 3-sided breeze at 13h00. The harbour was in order, the restaurant was working, there were already closed robber castles on the line, but most of the guests were still being cleaned. Captains El Toro, Phoenix and Vagabund discussed their experiences of the tour and waited for the arrival of the Mix. At 5pm, when we entered the harbour restaurant, there were only two seats available in the guest row. The restaurant had arranged dinner for us at a separate table (liver dumpling soup, butcher's sturgeon with chorizo, cucumber, and lava cake with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream) which met all our needs. After dinner, following Captain El Toro's instructions, we buried the name of Captain Phoenix's ship "Greyhound", scattered the cremated ashes to the wind and water, and began the naming ceremony. We suggested various better and better names for Phoenix, but he finally decided on "Hope". We couldn't splash the baptismal water on the boat because the boat was in the reeds near the harbour, not in the guest quarters.

Our brother Accord also paid his respects, joining our little group, but he could only get away from his guests for half an hour.

Several cannon shots confirmed the success of the tour, and all were in favour of continuing in the future.

We left the restaurant at 9pm and prepared for the last night of the tour. El Toro and Vagabund had planned an early departure due to other commitments, while Phoenix, Cheerful and Tudor had planned to visit Hope, with a late morning departure.
