In memoriam Iustus (one of our Brothers sailed away)
The Brothers of the Coast of Hungary fulfilled their sad duty on 31/07/2018 on Balatonboglár. They escorted our beloved Brother IUSTUS for his last sailing on the yacht “Phoenix”. We were already beyond the lethargy of the previously shocking news, but we could not completely understand the tragic event either. All of us was shocked, full of pain, and we missed him. Although we know that this is the order of life, but its suddenness has shocked us.
Brother IUSTUS (Gyula Lányi, „the Most Beautiful Uncle Gyuszi”) was the brother of the Brotherhood. He was a really active person, almost never missed a Zaffarancho. He loved the people, he communicated well. His unforgettable personality, his stories, his unique humor will stay with us. Please find below the last photo I made of him on the Neszmély Zaffarancho.
Participated on the sail away: corsara of IUSTUS, Dobrányi Ili
KNIGHT (National Captain)
PHOENIX (Captain of “Balaton Table”)
ÁBRÁND (Captain of “Budapest Table”)
brother CLOCHARD,
brother EL TORO,
brother HVALLROSS,
brother TOM WOOD,
brother TUDOR and his captive Elizabeth
brother VIKING and his captive, Rita
brother PLEO ,
brother VAGABUND
Csizmazia Gábor and Selmeczi József (aspirants)
We sailed out at 10 AM from Balatonboglár. As it was high temperature we did not wear the uniforms yet. We sailed until the middle of the lake, where the ceremony started.
We remembered and said goodbye to our bellowed Brother IUSTUS according to the protokoll of the Brotherhood.
After the formal farewell ceremony, we docked at Révfülöp and remembered to our brother at a white table and we had a delicious lunch. Unfortunately brothers EL TORO and TOM WOOD could not join us, as they needed to go back with their motor vessels to their work.
After the lunch we said goodbye to Ms. Ilike and her family and we sailed back to Balatonboglár.
2018.08.04.
(This memorandum was recorded by brother VAGABUND, the scriba of Table Balaton.)
