On a cool, windy but sunny morning we started gathering at the Balatonboglár harbor for the 10 o'clock departure. Our Brother Phoenix suggested in advance that we start with storm-proof clothing and change to festive clothing only for initiation, covering the north coast. This was accepted by everyone and so we set off at 10:15 with the "Phoenix" two masters to the north coast. The more timid, four - legged part of the team took an escort and a bus to Badacsony, the venue for joint programs.

The waves were big on the lake. Hard 25-knot base winds were occasionally amplified, with a second degree storm signal. With smaller splashes we drove the motor to the reeds near the port of Révfülöp, but instead of covering, the wind blown by the mountain blew unpredictably. We therefore moored the ship on the western side of the Révfülöp pier and prepared for its inauguration.

According to tradition, the brother's initiation began with 3 bells. Vagabund, the master of the ceremony, called the aspirant and the godfather and read the Octalogo. After that, our National Captain swore and inaugurated our new brother, Viking. After greeting the brothers and sisters, our National Captain commanded Golpe de Canon with white powder. (2x)
After the official part, we handed over our brotherhood symbols and gifts to our new brother. We changed into storm proof again and set off at 11 o'clock to Badacsony with a sail. We pulled up the Besan sail and the Genoese, but we also went with more than 8 knots. It was a great sailing experience. At the helm, Casador and I were acting. We all enjoyed the brilliant sunshine, the crystal clear air of the North Coast and the sailing of the Fa-Mol racing boats. At this stage, our guests enjoyed the sailing experience as well, just to say it was super cool.
We landed in Badacsony at 12.10, the team reunited and took the bus. The bus took us to the Wine Friends Restaurant, where they were waiting for us with a set table.
After the three-course lunch, take the bus again and head for the mountain, namely the Imre cellar. We missed the cellar tour of the program due to the must-gas, but on the newly constructed guest terrace, in the windshield provided by the mountain, we enjoyed wine tasting with red onion greasy bread. The tasted Riesling, Gray-friendly and Muscat wines were excellent, and we drunk well. I've heard many times here what a pity it was to come by car ...

We arrived back at the marina in a great atmosphere and set off for Boglár at 5 pm. As the wind had diminished, we were pulling up every sail and flying below 200m2 in the setting sun. On the way home, I was standing by the ship's helm, which was a great experience for me. The ship sailed with 7.5-8 knots, so at 18 o'clock we had landed in Boglár.
The pictures were taken by István Nyíri, a sailing friend of ours, who was walking in the harbor when we arrived at Phoenix.
After unpacking and taking a photo, we bid a goodbye to each other and set off for the trip home.

For me, this gathering also proved that brotherhood is alive, working, and represents the spirit of Octalogo. We had a very enjoyable day together with mutual respect and love. ... Oooorrrrza.
